Will you join us in telling and preserving the history and life of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Family?

The National ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Oral History Archive Project, at the Mary Nona McGreal, OP, Center for ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Historical Studies at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ University, seeks to support the memory and study of the life of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ family in the United States.

Recognizing the rich histories, broad spectrums of service experiences, and increasingly diverse settings of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Friars, Nuns, Sisters, and Laity, it is important to hear individual women and men’s stories to gain a more complete understanding of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ religious life in the 20th and 21st centuries. In this endeavor, the National ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Oral History Project looks to capture the vocational life history of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ family.

At the core of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ charism is study, and this project seeks to promote this central gift of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ life. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ archives across the country have collected oral histories of their members, but this project, through digitization, seeks to centralize this work into a single portal, that is accessible, searchable, and ready for future scholarship.

Please join us in our mission to preserve and tell the history and life of the Order of Preachers in the United States.
